Roeselare company opens largest solar panel park in the city

For the packaging company, it is now the 3rd solar park that they are opening. Sustainability plays an important role within the company and they put that into practice. With the energy generated by the solar panels, they will power their buildings, machines and deep-freeze halls, among other things.

In addition, the electricity will also be used for charging points for cars, bicycles and electric scooters. In this way, the company wants to make sustainable mobility accessible to everyone: employees, visitors, but also neighbors and passers-by. “We believe that accessible charging infrastructure is crucial to promote sustainable mobility for everyone. By investing in a solar park with 8,000 panels and by facilitating the charging of electric vehicles, scooters and bicycles, we want to encourage and inspire others to make the transition to more environmentally friendly alternatives,” says CEO Chris Mullie.
