Roeselare chooses the best stew recipe
Fourteen candidates submitted their prescriptions. A first jury, with experts from the cooking school from Roeselare, tasted the different stew recipes. In the end, the jury selected five finalists. Today they make their dish in the ‘Kitchen van Roeselare’.
Five Laureates
- Lobke Van Immerseel – Roeselaar Goulash
- Annelies Meseure – Classic stew
- Michele Vandereecken – Veal cheek stew
- Peter Vandommele – Stew of veal, sweetbread, gingerbread and Oyster mushrooms
- Fleur Verhulst – Heavenly soft and sweet beef stew ‘Maison Madelise’
Professional jury
A professional jury led by chef Tim Boudry, but also Claudia Allemeersch (winner ‘The best hobby chef in Flanders 2009’ and author) and mayor Kris Declercq will make the final judgment today.
Winner announced!
At 6 pm Annelies Meseure was awarded the winner with her ‘Classic stew’.
