Roel Vedder officially said goodbye to the municipality of Westerveld on Thursday. Earlier this month he handed over his role as alderman to Renate Masselink.
“I really enjoyed being able to contribute something to the Westerveld community. For example, when it comes to the housing program. We have really taken steps in this direction in the past period and I am proud of that.”
Vedder previously indicated that he had worked for the municipality of Westerveld with great pleasure and dedication. However, the political debate took a toll on his energy, which is why he found that the role of councilor did not suit him well. This was the reason for him to end his councilorship.
All confidence
It is still unclear what the future will bring. “I haven’t found a new challenge yet. I have consciously chosen to fully commit myself as an alderman in recent months and to make as much progress as possible in the various ongoing projects. But I am confident that something good will come my way again.”
