In 2016, 15-year-old Rodrygo traveled with Santos from Sao Paulo to Doha to compete in an international youth tournament organized by the Aspire Academy. Qatar had been working to organize its World Cup for six years, and the teenager Rodrygo had no doubts: “In 2022 I will return here with the national team”. He was right. Six years later Rodrygo is in Doha with Brazil.
