Roda JC and NAC shared the points in Breda. In the Rat Verlegh Stadium it was 2-2. Both teams failed to get the ball over the goal line before half-time. After the break, NAC opened the score, but immediately afterwards Dylan Vente equalized. In the final phase, Daryl Werker shot the Kerkrades to 1-2, but Velanas equalized shortly before the end.
Shortly after kick-off, Xian Emmers received a cross from Patrick Pflücke, but goalkeeper Nick Olij was able to prevent the Kerkrades from taking the lead with his feet. Roda JC was more eager than the Breda players in the initial phase, but Robert Klaasen could barely prevent Jeredy Hilterman from tapping the ball into the goal.
Loss of the ball
The Kerkrades got away well ten minutes later. Rody de Boer was able to get rid of a shot by Odysseus Velanas after a clumsy loss of the ball, after which Kaj de Rooij shot the ball over the goal. Roda hardly had any finished chances and saw a free kick by Ralf Seuntjens go wide. Absalem was then able to prevent a NAC player from shooting.
Ten minutes before the break, debutant Davy van den Berg gave up on Dylan Vente, but he shot the ball against goalkeeper Olij.
Free kick next to
On the stroke of half-time, Amir Absalem interrupted a Brabant attack. It resulted in a free kick for NAC on the edge of the penalty area, but Welat shot wide.
Backlog quickly cleared
Ten minutes after the break, NAC took the lead. From a corner, debutant Jeredy Hilterman headed the ball into the goal. That lead was only briefly on the scoreboard, because Xian Emmers gave back perfectly from a counter to Dylan Vente who scored the equalizer: 1-1.
Both teams attack
Both teams kept looking for the attack. Moise Adiléhou reacted alertly to a falling ball, but shot over and on the other side Patrick Pflücke shot a cross just wide of Nick Olij’s goal.
Adiléhou was able to clear the ball moments later before Dylan Vente could become dangerous. A long shot from Xian Emmers was no problem for the Breda goalkeeper. Substitute Mohamed Amisi was then unable to reach the ball to shoot in a cross.
Roda loses lead
Seven minutes before the end, the Kerkrades took the lead when Daryl Werker headed the ball against the ropes from a corner. NAC then did everything possible to equalize. Shortly before the end of regular time, Velanas curled the ball into the far corner, winning a hard-fought run for his team.
Seventh in ranking
Roda JC now has 41 points and is seventh in the ranking of the Kitchen Champion Division.
