Nine days after the ban raid on a local Hells Angels group, the rockers buried a club brother.
The man with the scene name “YU81” was buried on Friday morning in the Old Luisenstadt Cemetery at Südstern (Kreuzberg). Before that, a funeral service took place at Richardplatz. The rocker with the striking facial tattoos had recently died after an accident with his motorcycle.
According to a police spokeswoman, 220 people had gathered at the cemetery – including the Berlin club boss André Sommer. The Nomads’ senior rocker has been a member of the Hells Angels since 2001. In 2012 he was attacked and he barely survived.
Some of the rockers came to the funeral on motorcycles. On their leather vests, the cowls, were the names “Brigade 81 Stendal”, “Red Devils MC Stendal” and “Hells Angels MC East Front”.
The police were on duty with 70 officers. When leaving, some of the rockers ignored red traffic lights, the officials wrote administrative offense reports.
