Robot company Zorabots wins contract worth millions
In 2013, the Ostend company introduced robots in residential care centers, today the Ostend company has evolved considerably. They developed an accessible software platform that connects robotics, devices connected to the internet and the virtual world.
Combination of three worlds
“You enter and there is a motion detector that detects that you are there. A message is sent to the avatar who in turn welcomes you. After that you can choose who comes to visit. Once you’ve chosen that person, a robot will come up to guide you to them. That is a simple example of how we combine those three worlds”, explains Tommy Deblieck of Zorabots.
In Saudi Arabia, they have sold 100,000 licenses for the software platform, worth 100 million euros. In Canada, this concerns 20,000 licenses worth seven million.
