A new adventure for Robin Lathouwers. The defender from Hoofddorp will immediately transfer to VVV Venlo. Lathouwers did not get further than two unofficial matches at AZ.
Robin Lathouwers played an hour last summer with AZ in the exhibition game against the Italian Bologna. And he was also allowed to participate once in the exhibition game against Go Ahead Eagles last season. The 22-year-old defender was also part of the match selection once this season. Unfortunately, there were no official playing minutes for Lathouwers, although he also had many physical setbacks in recent years.
Captain
In total, Lathouwers played 56 matches for Jong AZ and managed to find the net twice. This season he was in the starting line-up for Jong AZ every game. And the Hoofddorp player regularly wore the captain’s armband.
At VVV Venlo, Lathouwers meets former teammates Sem Dirks and Richard Sedlácek. The right back’s contract also expired this summer at AZ.
