The legend of Robin Hood is now told in an American series.

Robin Hood has been made into many movies and series. To continue the list, one more product is added: an American drama series.
Presented to the world at the end of last year Robin Hood was such a success that there is another production season coming. Like this first season, it consists of ten episodes that transport the viewer to France and Rome.
The story begins, of course, in Sherwood Forest, Nottingham. The year is 1186. The Saxon Hugh Locksley bears a grudge against the Norman Lord Huntingdon, who has taken over his home and land. The bitterness is transferred to Hugh’s son Robert “Rob” Locksley, better known as Robin Hood. The younger Locksley later falls in love with the daughter of Marian of Huntingdon, i.e. the maiden Marian. The father sends the young woman Henry II to a court ruled by a queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. He has specifically demanded Marian to the court, because a cunning plan has been prepared for this.

The queen is played by Connie Nielsen. He has told For the New York Post for a blunder that he personally believes prevented him from making the series. In the early days of filming, Nielsen arrived on the set and noticed a globe in the queen’s study.
