The move to FC Barcelona is nearing completion. Now there are first recordings of Robert Lewandowski in the country of his new club.
Robert Lewandowski and FC Barcelona – only a medical check and a contract signature, then the mega transfer should be perfect. After leaving FC Bayern on Saturday, the top scorer has already arrived in Spain.
In a video available to “Sky”, Lewandowski can be seen leaving Palma airport, where he is said to have arrived on a private plane – and the 33-year-old is immediately besieged by autograph hunters and reporters. The forward signs several autographs on Barça shirts, then gets into a black SUV and drives off. Afterwards, the supporters proudly show their shirts with the signature of the newcomer. It is expected that the change will be finalized on Sunday and that Lewandowski will then be officially presented by the traditional club.
Events had already rolled over on the night of Saturday, and later both FC Bayern and the Catalans confirmed that they had agreed on a change for the seven-time top scorer in the Bundesliga. The transfer should include a transfer fee of 45 million euros plus 5 million bonus payments, Lewandowski will sign a three-year contract with an option for another year.
The change was preceded by months of transfer confusion, in which Lewandowski insisted on a premature departure from Munich, while Bayern insisted on fulfilling the contract, which actually runs until 2023. Lewandowski moved to the Bavarian capital in 2014 and then won eight German championship titles, the DFB Cup three times and the long-awaited Champions League in 2020.
