Robbery on Mark Gillis: man (39) detained longer and more suspects in the picture

The 39-year-old Bosschenaar who was arrested last week for the robbery of Mark Gillis will remain in custody for at least two more weeks. That was decided by the examining magistrate on Monday. The police found the man after a DNA match. The robbery on Gillis took place in the night of 6 to 7 November last year at his chalet in Asten.

Police believe they know who the other suspects are. New traces are currently being investigated that could potentially lead to new DNA matches. The police announced this on Monday in the TV investigative program Bureau Brabant.

After the robbery, specialists from the police conducted a major investigation in the chalet and in the immediate vicinity.

The traces that were found have already led to the arrest of the 39-year-old man from Den Bosch. This happened after a check in the database of the Netherlands Forensic Institute. The Bosschenaar was arrested at his home.
