Robbert Rodenburg severely dissed by Angela: ‘Slobberball!’

Robbert Rodenburg gets Angela de Jong’s fist in his face. She is not at all charmed by his slimy interviews with celebrities. “I don’t want to be in that list of drooling interviews.”

Angela de Jong didn’t have to think about it for a second when she received the invitation to join presenter Robbert Rodenburg’s talk show Open Kaart. If you think the TV world is made up of slimy types, then you haven’t seen this YouTube guy yet. He really goes into depth with all his celebrity guests.

Drool interviews

Media journalist Dennis Jansen asks Angela in their joint AD Media podcast why she was in Nikkie de Jager’s podcast. “Why does Nikkie de Jager call and, for example, well, when Robbert Rodenburg calls, not? I don’t know if he called, but more simply: why did Nikkie de Jager?”

Angela then admits: “Well, good question. Yes, I think he called once too. Yes, because I have enormous admiration for Nikkie and a soft spot for her, so if she asks that, I really enjoy doing it. And with Robbert Rodeburg I felt a little less need to join the list of Sylvie Meis drool-worthy interviews.”

Escape room

Angela isn’t very keen on all those celebrity shows anyway. Manuel Venderbos, presenter of the AD podcast but best known for Shownieuws, says: “I have been approached for an escape room to do that together with you.”

Dennis: “Did you say no to that in advance?”

Manuel: “Yes, I said: ‘That makes no sense.’”

Angela: “No, I wanted to say: I never saw the invitation, it’s a shame I couldn’t tell you no. Shame!”

Five thousand euros

This would have been a nice snack for Manuel, notes fellow journalist Marcus den Blanken. “Yes, it’s a shame for Manuel. That is another 5,000 euros that is gone.”

Manuel: “I said: ‘Go and ask, but she’s really not going to do that.’”

Dennis: “You will sit in the dark with Nikkie de Jager.”

Just on the couch

Manuel didn’t see that coming. “Yes, I don’t understand that either.”

Angela: “Yes, I didn’t have to do an escape room there. That was just sitting on a couch and answering questions. I can just about do that.”
