Robber jumps on the counter of a pizzeria, threatens with a knife and demands money

“Open, open, pace!” With these words, the robber of a pizzeria in Veldhoven put the knife to an employee’s throat last October. The man had a large knife and jumped onto the counter. The shocked employee gave him money from the cash register. Images of this brutal robbery can be seen on Monday in Bureau Brabant, the investigation program of Omroep Brabant.

The pizzeria on Burgemeester van Hoofflaan was targeted on October 2. The broadcast shows that a man drives up with a white scooter around ten o’clock in the evening. He parks the vehicle and then runs into the business. He immediately jumps on the counter and threatens an employee with a large knife.

Meanwhile, he shouts in an urgent tone: “Open, open, pace!” It is clear: the busy gesticulating man is after the contents of the cash register. The employee does his best to give the robber his way so as not to make him ‘more excited’, according to the police.

The robber not only grabs bills from the staff member’s hands. He is also given the cash drawer from the cash register, but he throws it on the floor and runs away.

The police obviously want to know who the perpetrator is. In any case, it is a slim man with noticeably long legs. His face is barely visible because he is partly disguised. There may be people who recognize the robber’s voice.
