Metallica’s new long player “72 Seasons” will be released this Friday, April 14th. For the release of the twelfth studio album, bassist Rob Trujillo will give an autogaming lesson at the Saturn am Alexanderplatz in Berlin. This takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Fan merch in the pop-up shop
On Saturday, April 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will also be the opportunity to visit the group’s exclusive pop-up shop. This can be found in the gallery in the nhow Hotel (Stralauer Allee 3, 10245 Berlin). In addition to various formats of the album, exclusive merchandise and other limited products and specials will be available there. In addition, further extras await the visitors; among other things, you can have your picture taken in an installation of the album artwork.
Metallica’s world tour: snake pit stage and donations to the Foundation
Finally, on April 27th, Metallica will start their world tour “M72 WORLD TOUR 2023/2024” in Amsterdam and will be seen live in Hamburg on May 26th and 28th. The group will play two nights in each city they stop in. The motto “No Repeat Weekend” promises two completely different sets as well as different bands in the opening act of the shows.
A new stage design has also been announced for the tour, the centerpiece of which is the “Metallica Snake Pit”, with the audience framing the circular stage from all sides. As always, the Snake Pit allows access to the special area “inside” the stage. This is surrounded by the band during the performance.
Part of the income from ticket sales goes to the band founded by the band All Within My Hands Foundation.
