Rob Kemps continues to search for his first television hit. His new interview program The 10 Questions is also not a resounding success on SBS 6. “It is a very mediocre score.”
Since Linda de Mol can no longer credibly continue with her talk show – after all, she herself never wants to give interviews again – SBS 6 has launched a new talk show: The 10 Questions. The presentation is in the hands of Rob Kemps and in the first episode he hosted a pretty big name yesterday: Jeroen Pauw.
Rob is disappointing
Unfortunately for Rob, that does not automatically lead to high viewing figures. The premiere episode of The 10 Questions came out last night, on New Year’s Day, with a score of 477 thousand viewers (13 percent market share). With that, SBS 6 was unable to attract enough viewers for a spot in the top 15 viewing figure.
Viewing figure expert Tina Nijkamp, also the former boss of SBS 6, finds it disappointing. “What a big disappointment for Rob Kemps. And what an annoying New Year’s Eve viewing figure weekend for him after the disappointing figures of Ik Hou Van Holland. Worse: After The Wheel, his second own TV show also turns out not to be a hit on SBS 6.”
‘Not Peacock’s fault’
It was not Jeroen Pauw’s fault, Tina emphasizes to her channel. “It was not due to the fame of the guest: NPO presenter Jeroen Pauw, who I think was interviewed on SBS 6 for the first time in his life. It is clear that the viewer is no longer simply waiting for another program in which BN’ people are portrayed.”
Tina does not rule out that the ratings will rise slightly tonight. “The episode with Johan Derksen will of course score.”
Andrew on one
The big winner on prime time was Heel Holland Bakt with 2.3 million viewers (41 percent) on NPO 1. The most watched alternatives were Beat the Champions with 1 million viewers (18 percent) on RTL 4 and Najib Amhali: Waar Was Ik with 662 thousand viewers (12 percent) on SBS 6.
The most viewed titles at half past nine were De Stamhouder with 1.1 million viewers (25 percent) on NPO 1, Cats: Nog Een Tijd Samen with 551 thousand viewers (15 percent) on NPO 2 and De 10 Questions on SBS 6. RTL 4 lagged far behind with 303 thousand viewers (9 percent) for the repeat of Guido Weijers’ New Year’s Eve conference.
