Rob Kemps also furiously calls RTL Boulevard: ‘K*t program!’

Fame seems to have gone completely to Rob Kemps’ head. When the cameras are on, he acts as a good-tempered smiley face, but behind the scenes he turns out to be an angry bully.

Rob Kemps is the umpteenth apparently sympathetic BN’er who is hard to believe. He moved heaven and earth on Monday to avoid being embarrassed by Today Inside and now it turns out that he was also white-hot with anger on the line at RTL Boulevard. Who does this man think he is?

René doesn’t get images

VI star René van der Gijp planned to mercilessly ridicule Rob and his TV buddy Matthijs van Nieuwkerk on Monday evening. The images from their Chansons! were already on the cutting table at VI, when they were suddenly withdrawn again. According to René, Rob has been frantically calling around to all kinds of parties from his holiday address.

Curiously, Rob denies all that. He states, in front of the stage, that he thinks Today Inside is a nice program that makes him laugh a lot and that he hasn’t called anyone at all. “I think Gijp is kidding.”

Rob looks like a liar

What seems? Rob not only has long toes, but is also a liar. Wilfred Genee: “Someone from the production called our editors and they said, ‘We got a call from Rob that he’s quite displeased.’ Because everyone had to give permission: Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, the producer, someone else, the director or something, and so Rob.”

René still had Rob on the phone after the riot broke out yesterday. “Yes. He said he was not angry. Well, fine. He said, “I’m not angry.” Well, good too, dude.”

‘He doesn’t want to be mocked’

So Rob is not angry, but still does not want to give the images. “No. He doesn’t want to give it! He says that Huub Stevens [door ons] can no longer be separated from ‘dirty bastard’ and that we are very good at that, to portray someone in a certain way.”

Colleague Johan Derksen: “There can be nothing worse than screaming on a stage: ‘To the left and to the right!’”

René: “He doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like it, he says. Everyone can be taken for a ride, he likes it all, from Jan Boskamp to Huub Stevens, but not him.”

“Why the embarrassment?”

Rob does not want to be ridiculed, René explains. “So Rob was afraid that we would broadcast something that he would never be able to get rid of.”

Wilfred: “The funny thing is that you choose to make TV in all kinds of ways, isn’t it strange that you start saying: ‘This may be used as is and this is not’?”

Johan: “If you present Ik Hou Van Holland, then you shouldn’t be embarrassed about anything, right?”

Calls angrily with Boulevard

It seems that behind the scenes Rob is a very different kind of person. He now also appears to have called RTL Boulevard furiously, because they have reported on René’s statements. “We have placed this anecdote on our site. Then we received an app from Rob Kemps that it is completely untrue,” says Luuk Ikink.

And then? “We called him at his holiday address and then we got a furious Rob Kemps on the phone, because we were a k*t program. That’s an opinion, isn’t it, not a fact. That’s what he said.”

Aran Bade stunned: “What’s wrong with Rob?”

Luuk: “Yes, we don’t know that either. In any case, we think he is ready for a holiday.”

‘There are two Robs’

Luuk doesn’t understand why Rob pretends on social media that he can laugh so much at VI, while behind the scenes he is white-hot on everyone’s phone. “I don’t quite understand why he was so angry with us in any case, and maybe also with VI.”

Miljuschka Witzenhausen relentlessly: “There is clearly a Rob in front of the scenes and behind the scenes.”
