The weekly magazine Privé made a big splash: Rob Jetten’s new love. The gentleman in question, Nicolás Keenan, has been known as a ‘hockey hunk’ since the magazine’s reporting. That’s because this Argentinian gentleman plays hockey and is very muscular. Reporter Jaïr Ferwerda recently came under fire for describing Nicolás as ‘first lady’.

Hockey hunk

Anyway: that hockey hunk never dared to appear in front of the camera until now, but for the sweet Time for MAX he makes an exception. “You met a top athlete in love, an Argentinian. A hockey man,” begins presenter Sybrand Niessen in the yesterday’s broadcast.

Rob says that is absolutely correct. “He plays hockey in the Netherlands, at Little Switzerland, the club in The Hague and this is in the Argentina national team. I think this is at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where he scored the most beautiful goal of the tournament.”

‘Hola, mi amor’

Co-host Martine van Os loves hearing Rob talk so lovingly. “Yes, just brag.”

Sybrand then: “He wants to say something to you, just listen.”

Rob is then shocked: “Oh no, you’re serious!

The hockey hunk then appears large on the screen. “Hola, mi amor. You may be surprised to see me here, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to say how proud I am of you.”

Inspiring

Nicolás speaks in English. “What you do is so inspiring to all of us. All the hours, hard work and passion you put into this campaign. We support you, we have your back, keep it up. And most of all, we love you.”

Rob then: “He kept this a secret.”

Sybrand: “Really? Or are you lying?”

Rob: “No, no, no. Hahaha.”

Dutch

Can that hockey hunk already speak Dutch? Rob claims so. “His Dutch is better. I don’t think he dared to do it in Dutch, but he really tries to watch and follow these kinds of programs.”
