Rob Goossens has made a big cut of Rachel Hazes in RTL Boulevard, who is under heavy fire because of the relentless media attack on her very own daughter Roxeanne.
During the recordings of Beste Zangers, Roxeanne Hazes looked back for the first time on her lonely and difficult childhood. She explained in a calm and collected way that she had a lot of trauma in her childhood, because she was constantly sent to host families when her parents were too busy with something else.

The final blow for Roxeanne came after the death of her father André. “My mother decided to write a book and I didn’t have my mother with me for nine months. Just when you really need her to mourn. (…) That will damage someone for the rest of their life.”
Unfortunately, Rachel can’t handle criticism of her motherhood, so she’s portrayed her own daughter as a fantasist in front of the entire nation. Together with son André, she has directed a PR moment to make her feel bad. “This has been so clearly discussed”, analyzes showbiz expert Rob Goossens in RTL Boulevard.

It is clear that André and Rachel are colluding against Roxeanne, according to Rob. “Rachel’s statement appears on Instagram and within a minute André has put a whole piece of text under it without spelling mistakes or anything. It looks quite modeled, so: yes, of course it has been discussed. (…) This is one hundred percent definitely agreed work.”
It all comes back like a boomerang in Rachel’s face, because she only receives support from some relatives and a whole procession of exes of André Jr. “The main question is: why is Rachel doing this? She can also keep quiet and think: I’ll keep the family together a bit,” says RTL Boulevard presenter Lex Uiting.

Rob thinks Roxeanne has been extraordinarily nice to Rachel. The eternal widow revealed in 2020 that she behaved like an alcoholic after André’s death: “I was good for a bottle of berries per day. I had lost 12 kilos and weighed only 45 kilos.”
Roxeanne could have said that too, but she didn’t, says Rob. “Roxeanne wasn’t that bad at all. She put it all pretty neatly. If you now dive into the archives you will see that Rachel herself said about that period that she drank a bottle of liquor every day.”

According to Rob, Roxeanne saved her mother a lot. “Then I think Roxeanne who says ‘she was working on a book’ quite nice to her mother, but apparently this has been such a red rag to a bull for Rachel that she wants revenge or whatever. She just mobilized everyone around her who is willing to cooperate.”
Rob points out that, unlike André and Rachel, Roxeanne has now got her life on track. By telling her story once, Roxeanne hoped to close a chapter. “Well, that, but that is not possible in the Hazes family, because if you say: ‘I close it’, then two family members always smash that door.”
It is understandable that Roxeanne no longer wants anything to do with the rest of her family, according to Rob. “I can imagine if you get this kind of shit for free, she’ll say, ‘John, figure it out.’”
