Rob Goossens is counting on us not to see Ronald de Boer on television for the time being after his bizarre performance in Humberto Tan’s talk show. He doesn’t regret it at all.
Ronald de Boer caused enormous anger among viewers two weeks ago by downplaying the number of deaths during the construction of World Cup football stadiums in Qatar at Humberto Tan’s talk show table. He is in fact ambassador of the World Cup in Qatar and receives a lot of money from the emirate.
No regrets
Despite all the criticism, Ronald now shows up in front of the camera of The Telegraph know that he has no regrets. “No, zero,” says the football celebrity.
He doesn’t want to say much about it: “I’m not going to talk about that now. We’ve talked about that enough. Everyone can have their own opinion and I can have my own. I hope that in the end we will have a positive World Cup and people with a rumor heart can travel to Qatar and eventually come back from: something beautiful has happened here.”
TV boycott
It is almost inevitable that Ronald is no longer invited by TV programs, says TV expert Rob Goossens of RTL Boulevard.
Rob: “We will no longer see them on TV until the World Cup. Or would there be editors who look at this in a “nuanced” way?”
commercial
Erik: “The best man has some kind of promotional deal for a lot of money with the organization/government there, right? What do they expect when they invite him? That man is a walking Qatar-funded commercial ??♂️”
Rob: “Exactly.”
