On the N33, near Deurze, a car drove into a Rijkswaterstaat vehicle. One person involved suffered minor injuries.
Traffic on the N33 came to a standstill due to the accident. The damaged cars had to be salvaged and the road surface needed repair, so traffic was temporarily unable to pass. Rijkswaterstaat eventually reported a traffic jam of about three kilometers.
The car of a road inspector from Rijkswaterstaat was parked along the N33, probably because of a truck with a breakdown. How the accident happened is still under investigation.
