Road pirate tears at 220 kilometers per hour on the A59 and has lost his driver’s license

A 23-year-old motorist from Breda lost his driver’s license late on Friday evening after driving at 220 kilometers per hour on the A59 near Waalwijk. The man had just been noticed by the traffic police because he drove too fast past a speed control between Drunen and Waalwijk.

The driver of the gray Volvo drove past a speed control on the A59 between Drunen and Waalwijk at around half past eleven at 150 kilometers per hour. The speed limit there is only one hundred. Traffic cops then went after the man.

220 kilometers per hour
Moments later, the motorist made it even more colorful, because on the A59 the 220 kilometers per hour was ‘tapped’ at Waalwijk and the interchange with the Midden-Brabantweg. Traffic is allowed there 120 and that meant that the Volvo drove no less than 100 kilometers per hour too fast.

The driver was then given a stop and follow sign and was pulled over on the Veerweg in Sprang-Capelle. There, the Breda motorist could immediately hand in his driver’s license. His co-driver then took over the wheel.

The public prosecutor will soon decide how long the driver will be without his driver’s license and how high the fine will be.
