Ririmasse died of prostate cancer last September at the age of 71 and was buried in Bovensmilde. However, his wish was to be buried in the yard of his father’s family home on the island of Haruku, on the ground for which he fought. He was supposed to be buried at Haruku after his death, but the corona rules in Indonesia did not allow that at the time. Now that the measures have been relaxed, that is possible.
