RMI warns of heavy rain, helpline 1722 activated
The RMI has declared code yellow for East and West Flanders. The warning applies until late afternoon. An active rain zone will move into the west during the night and gradually move more inland. Weather computers expect locally 20 to 40 liters per square meter.

Requests for fire brigade assistance in the event of storm and water damage, for example for flooded cellars or flooding on the road, can be submitted via the temporarily activated telephone number 1722. The Ministry of Internal Affairs points out that the fastest way to request fire brigade assistance is a digital request via the website 1722.be.
It is the operators of the emergency centers who also answer telephone calls to 1722. They do give priority to the most urgent calls to the emergency number 112.
