RMI warns for a lot of rain, helpline 1722 active

Code yellow applies to all provinces except Luxembourg from 7 p.m. The weather service warns that between 10 and locally 40 liters per square meter of rain can fall in 24 hours.

Requests can be submitted via the temporarily activated telephone number 1722 for help from the fire brigade in the event of storm and water damage, for example for flooded cellars or flooding on the road.

The Ministry of the Interior does point out that the fastest way to request fire service assistance is to submit a digital request via the website 1722.be. It is the operators of the emergency centers who also answer the telephone calls to 1722. They do give priority to the most urgent calls to the emergency number 112.
