Vaasa Sport’s Miro Nalli’s situation, which seemed like an illness, startled the audience in the HIFK–Sport league match.

– I don’t know what I can tell the outside world about it, Sport’s head coach Risto Dufva said and added that Miro Nalli left the hall on his own two feet.

Iltalehti was standing at the door of Sport’s locker room when the 24-year-old forward walked into the ambulance that was driven to the hallway of the hall and went to the hospital for examinations. He didn’t want to comment on his condition, but on the surface the man seemed to be fine.

– We are extremely careful. We prefer to over-react than under-react, Dufva continued.

Nalli was on the sidelines since last week’s Monday after getting the main goal in the match against Ilves. Now, in the second period, he fell to the ice and lay unconscious for a while.

– It’s hard for me to say what was in the background, Dufva answered the question about the possible connection between things.

– Also in the first set there was a situation where he shook the wing. It could be that too, but there was no overtime situation in this game.

In the middle of the game, Miro Nalli’s legs seemed to be cramping, but in the end he was able to skate on his own feet to the substitution fence. Of course, he never returned to the game. Matti Raivio / AOP

After the game, Dufva had time to chat with Nall for a while before he left.

– Of course, he wondered what really happened here. Tomorrow he will come to Vaasa.

So Nalli couldn’t get home on the team bus.

– These things hurt when it’s a speed sport, Dufva said.
