ANDra the January 3, 1954 when Rai – Italian Radio and Television began broadcasting. To celebrate 70 years since that day, tonight at 9.30pm on Rai 1 goes on air Risk everything 70. A special by Carlo Conti modeled on Risk it all by Mike Bongiorno (broadcast from 1970 to 1974).
Risk everything 70between quizzes and celebrations of the past
The return of the quiz – one of the most famous and appreciated in history – obviously has the flavor of a celebration. From a big party to pay homage to the medium that, more than any other, has revolutionized modern society.
The competitors, a total of 6 divided into 3 pairs of this special edition – who dusts off Mike’s booths and board – However, they are not ordinary people, but people known to the world public. The questions they will be asked to win heat after heat fall within the enormous area of television history. The categories announced are: comedy, dramas and fiction, variety, music, science, cartoons, sports.
To which they are added questions about the programs that have remained imprinted in the collective imagination, like Great song, Fantastic, Sanremo, Carousel, All the way back. In short Everything Rai does – as the famous slogan says. To embellish the game, then, there are audio and video contributions, and an LED scenography that helps you immerse yourself in the atmospheres of the past.

The guests of the evening
The three VIP couples are made up of Mara Venier and Alberto Matano, Loretta Goggi and Luca Argentero, Piero Chiambretti and Nino Frassica.
With fifteen editions of Sunday in, Venier is the Lady of Sunday afternoon. Matano leads Life live from 2019 and the same year manages the little treasure Of dancing with the Stars. The two are linked by a deep friendship.
Loretta Goggi she is one of the few multifaceted artists in Italian entertainment and boasts several records. She was the first woman to host the Sanremo Festival in 1986, the first woman to host a quiz, Loretta Goggi in quiz (1993), the first imitator of the small screen. In 1981 he participated in Sanremo with Cursed spring. She comes second but enters the history of pop music forever. Luca Argentero he is one of the strongest actors in Rai serials. Thursday 11 January returns to prime time on Rai 1 with Doc – In your hands 3. He is also one of the characters truly born on TV: his career, in fact, began in 2003 thanks to Big Brother. He placed third and soon broke away from the label of ex-gieffino by throwing himself into acting.
Chiambretti celebrates this year the 40th anniversary of his debut on Raiwith Forte fortissimo top TV. Frassica, however, debuted in 1985 with Those of the night. They follow Fantastic, All back! and dozens of other titles, up to What’s the weather likein which he has participated as a regular guest since 2015.
Risk everything 70starring Renato Zero and Pippo Baudo
That’s not all, because to Risk everything 70 two stars of Italian music also arrive: Massimo Ranieri and Renato Zero.
Ranieri, unlike other colleagues, has always worked on TV, moving from acting to conducting and back to singing. The first program that he hosts together with a very young Romina Power is Double copyin 1970, when Rai 1 was called National Program.
Instead for Renato Zero – and for many people – the immediate connection with TV has remained Long live Raithe theme song for its segment within Fantastic 3 (year 1982).
Another guest is Pippo Baudo. The debut dates back to 1959 with Guide of emigrants. They follow the Castrocaro Festival, Cantagiro, A record for the summer, Seven voices, Great song, Fantastic, Sunday in And The gypsy. He holds the record for hosting the Sanremo Festival: 13 times. Regarding Pippo’s participation in the program – only online – Conti explained that «If Mike is the history of television – explained Carlo Conti – another excellent symbol of TV really couldn’t be missing. He will open the episode, in his own way, with truly special words».

Rai 1 is not the only one celebrating the anniversary. From today until May 30th, RaiPlay offers 70×70. A collection of 70 unpublished stories, linked to the characters and programs. All condensed into pills of about 4 minutes each. A work made possible thanks to the immense archive of the Teche Rai.
