Riku Nieminen’s heavy story made the audience fall silent during the live broadcast of the Elämäni biisi program

Actor Riku Nieminen Ylen told an extraordinary personal story about his own childhood and youth today The song of my life – in the live broadcast of the program.

The song of my life is a program where the guests guess each other’s songs and reveal the song of their own life, as well as the story related to it.

Nieminen’s life song is by the band Dingo Deserted house. He primed the song by telling a heavy story on the air.

Nieminen started his story by saying that he spent his childhood only with his mother, who was a single parent. However, not everything went well within the family.

– Mother was a little unstable. He was an alcoholic and had an unstable mind. When I was about 7–8 years old, he often went out to spend the evening. The home turned into a deserted house. Many of these words sing that: “Don’t go. You don’t. Still you take my heart”.

Nieminen’s story continued deeper.

– Then it happened so tragically when I was fifteen that my mother took her own life. I listened to this song a lot then and understood that these words describe love for my mother and that certain kind of longing.

Nieminen presents a request for help to the public. He would like to find the song on white c-cassette. Nieminen says that he always felt safe when he listened to the song on cassette at his grandparents’ house. The song still brings him comfort.

Nieminen has acted in films, among other things Juice, 21 ways to ruin a marriage and Off-key. He is also remembered from the series Waterfall.
