Rijkswaterstaat about expected crowds around TT: turn off navigation

Due to the expected crowds around the TT in Assen, Rijkswaterstaat will take traffic measures on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For example, people traveling via the A28 are advised to turn off the navigation on site and to follow the instructions on posted text carts and signs. “This way traffic can move through as smoothly as possible.”

It is not possible to continue to the circuit from Groningen and the N33 towards the Assen-Zuid exit, Rijkswaterstaat warns. “During the 3 days of the TT, the western exit Assen-Zuid from the north (31A) of the A28 will be closed.” On Sundays, this exit will be opened for motorcycles that have to turn around. On Sundays, all incoming motor traffic from the A28 and the N33 will be routed to the TT Circuit via the special motor exit Assen (32).

Rijkswaterstaat arranges road inspectors and the organization of TT Assen also deploys extra traffic controllers on the routes to the circuit and in the parking spaces. “Finally, cameras have been set up at various locations that provide a good overview of the current traffic situation.”

If you come by public transport, you can take a shuttle bus from Assen station. One leaves every 5 minutes.
