Rihanna makes high-altitude Super Bowl comeback | show

American football fans look forward to it every year, the Super Bowl. But even those who don’t care about the finals of this American sport have a reason to watch the event: over the years, the biggest stars have performed during the legendary halftime show. This time Rihanna made her comeback after almost seven years of absence.

She did so from an impressive height. As the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles entered the locker room at 14-24, the American superstar, clad in a red jumpsuit, put on a dazzling show, dancing on a translucent floating platform dozens of feet above the field.

As she slowly descended towards the field, she fired at the crowd with hits like: ‘Where Have You Been’, ‘Only Girl’, ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’, ‘We Found Love’, ‘Rude Boy’ ‘, ‘Work’ and ‘Diamonds’. According to the singer from Barbados, it was difficult to ‘cram’ ’17 years of work’ into a 13-minute performance. But she said beforehand that it worked out pretty well.

Unlike other years, there was no surprise appearance and there were no costume and set changes. This gave the show a subdued character, despite the many white-clad dancers surrounding Rihanna. Immediately after the show, rumors swirled that she would be pregnant again, nine months after the birth of her son.

Mother

Rihanna hasn’t confirmed that anywhere yet. She said prior to the show that she had doubts whether she should do the performance, since she became a mother last year. “The question of whether I wanted to give the halftime show came three months after I gave birth,” said the singer. “I thought to myself: is this the right time to make such big decisions? But in hindsight it was perfect. I think the fact that I am now a mother has given me the strength to take on this challenge.”

Prior to the show, colleague Shakira, among others, wished her luck. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez were tasked with hosting the halftime show in 2020. Katy Perry is the most watched halftime show ever. In February 2015, 118.5 million people tuned their TV to the Roarsinger, since then no other artist has managed to attract more viewers.
