Rihanna’s statements let fans hope
The 37-year-old now revealed more about “Entertainment Tonight”. When asked whether a new album is still a long time in coming, she replied with “No, maybe a few videos”. Maybe Riri only wants to wait for her music videos until after pregnancy. Because she continued: “But I can sing” – and of course with a baby in the stomach.
Already at the beginning of the year she told “Harpers Bazaar” in an interview that she repeatedly worked on new music, but also puts up pressure. “Now there is no more genre. That’s why I waited. Every time I thought: ‘No, that’s not me. It is not right. It doesn’t suit my development,” she said. The longer you work on new music, the more the effort and time should be worth it. At the time, she also revealed that a new album will be “not commercial or radio -compatible”.
There has been no new album for almost a decade-but make-up and underwear
There has been no new Rihanna record since 2016. The publication of anti, on which hits such as “Kiss it Better”, “Work” and “Love on the Brain” are located, has been almost ten years ago. Only in 2022 she briefly reported back to the “Black Panther” soundtrack with the single “Lift Me Up”.
It is currently not known when exactly a new LP from Rihanna could be released. Originally, however, a project with the unofficial title R9 was supposed to appear in 2018. In recent years, however, the artist has primarily focused on her cosmetics and skin care brand “Fenty Beauty” and her underwear brand “Savage X Fenty”. The family increase with her and her partner A $ ap rocky certainly also takes time. In 2022 they got their first son Rza and in 2023 the second, Riot Rose followed. The couple now expect the third child.
