Santiago Peña, the candidate of the right-wing Colorado Party, won the presidential election in Paraguay on Sunday. The 44-year-old economist and former finance minister received 42 percent of the vote, according to the electoral commission after more than 90 percent of the votes had been counted. That’s enough for the win.
