Dressage rider Ingrid Klimke cannot compete in the freestyle at the World Cup finals on Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska, in the saddle of Franziskus.
As reported by the German Equestrian Federation, the stallion had “replaced itself acutely” and was not fit for action.
“I’m sad that we can’t compete in the freestyle here so unexpectedly,” said the 55-year-old Klimke from Münster: “Franz’s well-being comes first and with regard to the coming green season we have withdrawn him.”
