The New York Jets have apparently not made any friends in the NFL with their recent performance. Now a star player from the Buffalo Bills spoke out and lashed out violently against Aaron Rodgers’ team.
Offensive tackle Dion Dawkins spoke about the Jets in an interview with “VladTV” and particularly targeted defensive lineman Michael Clemons. Dawkins called him a “bitch boy” and accused him of instigating a scuffle between the two teams in the November 19 game (32-6 Bills).
Of the Jets as a whole, Dawkins said, “I hate them, all of them.” Dawkins explained his point of view: “When it comes to sports, there are people who play the sport because they love the sport. And then there are people who play the sport just to try to be cool. Me “I feel like they play the sport to try to be cool. These are a lot of guys who just want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s ridiculous!”
However, Dawkins didn’t want to lump all Jets players together. Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams is “valid”. “I like him.” But: “I’m not interested in the rest of them, I don’t like them.”
NFL: Trash talk led to scuffles
To trigger the scuffle in question, Dawkins said that Clemons started trash talking to Bills quarterback Josh Allen during a timeout in the fourth quarter. “Why are you talking to my quarterback? Don’t talk to my quarterback. Stay on your side. Just don’t say anything to my boys. Just stay over there, son. Don’t talk to 17. I really mean it.”
Clemons then pointed his finger at several players and said things. Later there was a direct collision between the two combatants, which resulted in a scuffle. There were pushes and ultimately a flag for unnecessary roughness against Dawkins, who threw himself at Clemons after the play was already over. Dawkins also received a fine for this. Clemons, for his part, has not yet commented on the situation.
