Union loan Rick van Drongelen (23) left the hospital after his serious car accident. But the Dutchman is not yet thinking about football.
The defender was absent from his loan club Mechelen’s game in Gent on Saturday.
Coach Wouter Vrancken (43): “After everything he’s been through, football is no longer important. It has to go through a process of processing. It is not yet clear when we can expect him back in Mechelen. He has to decide that.”
Rick van Drongelen’s BMW collided with an Opel on Wednesday. The driver (18) of the other car died in the accident.
