Bérangère Ruchat will assume the position of chief sustainability officer at Richemont, effective Tuesday. In this position, she will further develop the vision of the Richemont Group and strengthen its sustainability.
It is intended to advance Richemont’s commitment to science-based goals, based on previous environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting, the Swiss luxury group announced on Tuesday.
Ruchat previously served as Senior Vice President, Sustainability at Firmenich Group. During her long 12-year tenure, she drove Firmenich’s sustainability strategies and led the group’s ESG reporting. In their ESG reports, companies disclose information on environmental and social components in order to create transparency. The reports enable investors to get an insight into the ecological and social responsibility of companies.
The Richemont Group includes several large houses in the fields of jewelry, watchmaking and fashion – such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, IWC Schaffhausen, Piaget as well as Alaïa and Chloé.
