Gaël Monfils, the winner of 2019 and 2020, will also return to Ahoy. Krajicek was also able to report the participation of Cameron Norrie, Denis Shapovalov and Roberto Bautista Agut, among others.
“It’s good to see that the world’s best are once again finding their way to Rotterdam,” says Krajicek. „Of course we had already announced a number of players, but it is nice to be able to add names such as Shapovalov, Bautista Agut, Cilic, De Minaur and Goffin. That of course makes the tournament even more attractive.” The tournament director has a few wildcards up his sleeve.
Botic van de Zandschulp and Tallon groenpoor, among others, hope to receive such a wildcard. They are respectively the numbers 4 and 8 on the list of reserve players, so in case of cancellations they can also hope to participate.
