The business director of FC Volendam, Richard de Weijze, is busy with his last months in the fishing village. De Marker has decided to leave the premier league club on February 1. Volendam will be looking for a replacement in the near future.
De Weijze has been working for FC Volendam since 2008. He started as press secretary and became a member of the board from 2018. Since 2020, he has been business director for The New Orange.
“For me, the promotion was the icing on the cake and we worked hard for that in the background,” says Marker. “I am grateful to FC Volendam for the opportunities I have been given and I am focusing on a future outside this club. Volendam will always hold a warm place in my heart.”
