Rias Baarda and his band Starman have won a performance in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Their rendition of David Bowie’s music was a hit with the judges and audience on Saturday night’s TV show The Tribute – Battle of the Bands.
There was a lot at stake on Saturday evening: two of the six finalists were eliminated. The remaining four acts may perform on April 21, 22 and 23 during a full evening show in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
The higher the score during the talent show, the longer the performance in the music hall can last. Singer Bouke Scholten won the SBS6 talent show. The ‘Elvis from Emmen’ will soon be allowed to show off his skills for an hour.
Earth Wind and Fires finished second and is the so-called co-headliner in the Ziggo Dome with a playing time of 45 minutes.
Rias Baarda from Werkendam is the third ‘support act’ with his ‘Starman NL – The Dutch David Bowie Tribute’. He and his band are allowed to perform for half an hour in front of a full house in April. The Dome can accommodate 17,000 music lovers.
U2two, the number four of the result, can open the music party and gets fifteen minutes of playing time.
