Rhein-Neckar Löwen kept a clean slate

The Rhein-Neckar Löwen easily kept their clean sheet in the Handball Bundesliga and jumped back to the top of the table.

The Mannheimers lived up to their role as clear favorites against the still pointless taillight GWD Minden and won easily 37:25 (22:14). For the Löwen it was the seventh win in seven games, after the international break the top game at record champions THW Kiel (October 23) awaits.

National player Juri Knorr with nine goals and former national team captain Uwe Gensheimer (7) stood out against Minden. On Sunday Kiel can push the lions back from first place with a win in the top game at the foxes Berlin.

Meanwhile, TVB Stuttgart conceded the first defeat under interim coach Michael Schweikardt, at 24:32 (11:15) at HSG Wetzlar the Swabians had no chance after two wins in a row.

Next up are HC Erlangen and TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. Erlangen won 30:27 (10:13) against Bergischer HC and, like Hannover-Burgdorf, has 10:4 points. The Hanoverians prevailed in a thriller in the northern duel against HSV Hamburg with 28:27 (12:14).
