After a tour with Mikky Blanco, four EPs and a handful of singles, now follows… still no real album, but with the mixtape MOSQUITO their most ambitious release to date. Their sound blends techno with a lot of understanding of pop and the shifted rhythms of contemporary reggaeton and keeps reminiscent of Arca, but with songs that are comparatively almost radio-friendly. Melancholy and self-confidence converge in Lyzza’s minimalist dancefloor bangers (“Cheat Code”, “Lucky You”) and futuristic pop anthems (“Eraser”, “Ressaca”) for a rave among the post-apocalyptic ruins of our civilization.
