Alisha Lehmann turns heads on the field, but even more so off the field. He is not the best player of the World Cup, but he is the biggest star of the tournament on social media.
The Swiss already has almost 14 million followers on Instagram. In comparison, for example, Aston Villa, Lehmann’s legendary club team, has only 3.1 million followers. Aston Villa women’s football team has 189,000 followers.
Lehmann is already the most followed athlete in Switzerland. Even a tennis legend Roger Federer not up to the corresponding readings on Instagram. 11.8 million accounts follow Federer.

– Many people only see the social media side of my life and don’t really know how I play football. Sometimes it’s sad because I work hard every day. I train every day and I want to be as good a player as possible.
According to British media, Lehmann earns around 160,000 pounds per year at Aston Villa, or around 184,000 euros. However, he makes a bigger account on social media.
The woman works as an advertising face for Adidas, EA Sports and Coca-Cola, among others.
Lehmann also has his own website, through which he sells, for example, calendars, mugs, drinking bottles and posters.
At the beginning of 2023, Lehmann’s net assets were estimated to be up to 1.4 million euros.

Lehmann wants to show people by example that not everyone has to be cast from the same mold.
– When I was younger, many people told me that I can’t wear makeup and that I can’t wear eyelashes when I play. At some point I thought why not? It’s normal for me and it doesn’t hurt anyone if I do that, Lehmann says and continues.
– I want to look really feminine. It’s my passion.
Everyone should be able to make him look exactly the way he wants.
– It is really important that no one changes because someone else tells them to do so.

Lehmann, who thrives in midfield, scored five goals in Aston Villa’s shirt last season, but he ended up in the headlines of the British media for completely different things.
It was reported that Lehmann broke up with her boyfriend who plays for Aston Villa of Douglas Luiz. The reason for the breakup was said to be Lehmann’s “too cluttered” calendar, which he sold to his fans.

– I’ve been waiting for this my whole life, because this was the biggest thing for me as a child. I dreamed that I could play in the World Cup.
Norway, the second host country of the Games, New Zealand and the Philippines play in the same A group as Switzerland. Norway is the big advance favorite in the group, but the team suffered a loss to New Zealand in their opening match, so Switzerland and New Zealand are also fighting for the top spot in the group.
In their opening match, Switzerland beat the Philippines 2–0. Lehmann came on the field as a substitute in the match.
The games are a huge showcase for women’s football. Maybe some of Lehmann’s followers will get excited to watch the games.
– Many of them don’t really know how I play. I always tell them: watch the game – and then they are surprised.
