Revealed! That’s how much the Dortmund stars collect per point

They have been commonplace in amateur sport in this country for decades, and they still exist at professional level: the points bonuses for the players of a football team in the championship. At BVB, too, this incentive will continue to be created in order to animate the already highly paid professional players from Borussia Dortmund to top performances.

Similar to the pure salary payments at Dortmunders, the point bonuses for the BVB stars are also exorbitantly high. The “Sport Bild” now reported how much the black and yellow pay their squad players per single point in the Bundesliga.

According to the media report, the regular players get a whopping 20,000 euros for each point they collect – which means 60,000 euros for each win. It goes on to say that the payments for “absolute top performers” should be even higher. How the term “absolute top performer” is contractually defined and stipulated, however, remained open.

BVB stars beckon additional million salary

According to the report in the specialist magazine, a regular player is someone who is in the starting XI of Westphalia or who is on the field for at least 45 minutes in a game.

Missions lasting less than 45 minutes are rewarded correspondingly less if BVB scores one or three points from the game in question.

In the Champions League, too, there are bonus payments at Borussia Dortmund, which should be at the same level.

If a regular player with the black and yellow as an active player on the pitch scores at least 50 points, he can expect a salary bonus of at least one million euros per season. A hurdle that Dortmund easily overcame last season.

According to the source, the premium regulations in the BVB contracts are negotiated individually, but the model described is said to be common practice at the Ruhr area club.
