Immediately before the third Bundesliga game against 1. FC Köln (1-1), Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed the transfer of Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe. The youngster from Paris Saint-Germain is coming for at least the current season – before a purchase option should take effect.
As the “kicker” revealed, the contractual terms between Eintracht and PSG should be less an option than a purchase obligation.
With a “relatively small number of competitive matches” according to the specialist magazine, the Hessians should be contractually obliged to transfer the French top talent and not just train them as a loan player.
Sport director Markus Krösche was very relieved on Sunday that the midfielder’s signing worked out: “With Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe, we were able to strengthen our midfield in a targeted manner, which means that we see ourselves well equipped for the tasks in three competitions. At the same time, it makes makes his versatility, dynamics and game intelligence even more unpredictable and increases our tactical flexibility.”

Ebimbe, who, according to his own statement, prefers to be addressed simply as “Junior”, played in a team with world stars such as Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi or Kylian Mbappé until the very end and, according to Krösche, “was able to learn a lot” during this time. He will “get the necessary time and all the support he needs” in Frankfurt.
The 21-year-old himself described the SGE in an interview with club media as “one of the best clubs in Germany”. He “felt in the talks with Markus Krösche that I could find my place here and get playing times”. He is “very happy to be here now.”
