Reuzegommer takes YouTuber Acid to court after videos in Sanda Dia case

The Blankenberg YouTuber Acid, or Nathan Vandergunst, lost his account a week in early June after he posted a video on YouTube in which he revealed the identity of four (former) members of Reuzegom. He did this because he thinks that the members were not punished enough for Sanda Dia’s death.

According to YouTube, he had violated the rules and so his account was blocked for a week.

Damages

Although Acid was able to post videos again after a week, the fuss also gets a legal tail. The public prosecutor of West Flanders previously announced that it would not open an investigation. But the family of one of the four named Reuzegommers does go to court. Various media write that. Acid already laughed about that on Instagram:

The Reuzegommer in question was not prosecuted in the case of Sanda Dia’s death and was therefore not convicted. He and his parents’ restaurant were featured in Acid’s videos. The restaurant was boycotted after the videos, receiving false reservations and negative reviews.

The family’s lawyer therefore filed a direct summons for defamation and defamation, harassment, electronic harassment and hate speech. The case will be pleaded before the Bruges court in September. De Reuzegommer asks for 1 euro provisional compensation.
