The training centers Reutlingen University and LDT Nagold as well as the Federal Association of German Textile, Shoe and Leather Goods Retailers (BTE) are intensifying their cooperation. On Wednesday, the three partners announced the establishment of a joint venture. “The joint venture will implement a new study program under the Texoversum umbrella brand from October 1, 2022, in the context of which all stages of the entire textile, shoe and fashion retail industry will be bundled in one concept,” explained the BTE in a statement.
“The future program will be an optimal addition to our current educational portfolio,” explained Professor Jochen Straehle, Dean of the Textile & Design Faculty at Reutlingen University. “With the now institutionalized cooperation with the BTE and the LDT, we are a big step closer to our goal of becoming the main training provider for textile education and research in Germany and Europe. At the same time, the program closes the gap between industry and trade.”
