Djokovic (34) has not played a game this year after his withdrawal from the Australian Open following a weeks-long riot. He had to leave the country just before the start of the first grand slam tournament of this year. Djokovic’s visa was revoked because he had no good reason to get a medical exemption to enter the country without a vaccination certificate.
The ATP tournament in Dubai, where Djokovic has already won the title five times, starts on Monday 21 February.
Richard Krajicek, the tournament director of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, hopes to tempt Djokovic to come to Rotterdam. The ABN AMRO tournament starts in Ahoy in a week and a half.
