Borussia Dortmund have apparently not yet cleared all the hurdles in their efforts to bring Jadon Sancho back. Further negotiations between BVB and Manchester United are necessary.
As “Sky” reports, it is still about the last but nevertheless important details of the loan agreement, including the question of a purchase option for BVB next summer.
According to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, there is no obligation to buy. “BVB can’t afford that,” said the reporter.
There should already be an oral agreement between Sancho and BVB. It is also clear that BVB will have to shell out a low loan fee for the 23-year-old winger, but will only have to pay part of his salary during the initial six-month guest appearance, it is said.
The total financial volume of the agreement apparently amounts to three to three and a half million euros. “I am convinced that the deal will work,” said Plettenberg. Apparently the transfer should take place soon and not at the end of January.
“Bild” had previously reported that Sancho’s BVB return could still fall through if a club approached United with a purchase offer. The English record champions would prefer such an offer to a loan to Dortmund.
Jadon Sancho really wants to return to BVB
However, it is unclear whether there are serious interested parties. RB Leipzig, Juventus Turin, FC Barcelona and clubs from Saudi Arabia have recently been loosely associated with Sancho.
It is also becoming increasingly clear that the “prodigal son” really wants to return to BVB in order to revive his stalled career.
Between 2017 and 2021, the high-quality technician trained at Manchester City shone in the black and yellow jersey and developed into one of the best players in Europe in his position. The (temporary) career break came with the 85 million euro move to Man United.
Sancho is currently suspended from the Red Devils and is keeping fit in the club’s youth facilities.
