Julian Draxler wore the jersey for FC Schalke 04 from 2001 to 2015 before the offensive player switched to VfL Wolfsburg, Paris Saint-Germain and SL Benfica. Knappen goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann now campaigned for a return campaign for the former S04 jewel.
“My best teammate was Julian Draxler,” Fährmann clarified in an interview with “Sport Bild” and added: “Maybe I will be smiled at for the answer because I also played with Raúl, Farfán, Kuranyi and Bordon.”
However, Draxler has “everything – technique, speed, eye, passing, both feet, size”. In Germany, however, the ex-national player flies under the radar.
In the course of this, Fährmann also flirted with Draxler’s return to Gelsenkirchen. “He could help us in any position,” said the 34-year-old.
However, the goalkeeper does not consider a transfer of the PSG star to be realistic. “I think he feels very comfortable where he is. Of course I would be happy, even if it’s unlikely,” said the veteran.
Draxler moved from VfL Wolfsburg to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for 36 million euros. Last season he was loaned out to top Portuguese club Benfica. In the summer he returned to PSG. In the French capital, his contract is only dated until 224.
Draxler and Fährmann played together for FC Schalke 04 from 2011 to 2015.

In the interview, Fährmann also spoke about Manuel Neuer from FC Bayern. “He revolutionized the goalkeeper position,” enthused the Schalke player about his colleague.
Fährmann continued: “He’s a legend like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Dirk Nowitzki, Diego Maradona, Franz Beckenbauer, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. We should be happy to be able to see a player like him for as long as possible.”
