Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr, one of the Saudi Arabian League teams, made a statement to British journalist Piers Morgan. The 40-year-old football player talked about retirement, marriage and future plans.
“MONEY IS IMPORTANT BUT IT IS NOT EVERYTHING”
Cristiano Ronaldo, who said he was a billionaire a few years ago, said, “It doesn’t surprise me that I am the only billionaire in football. When you look at all the records, you will see Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the list. Human nature always desires more money. No matter how much you earn, you always want more. But after a point, when you reach a certain level, you realize that there are more important things than money. Money is important, but it is not everything.” he said.
“WILL THE WORLD CUP MAKE ME THE BEST IN HISTORY?”
The Portuguese star, who expressed his desire to win the World Cup at every opportunity, said, “Is it a dream? I don’t think so. It does not define me as a player. Will a tournament in which 6-7 matches are played make me the best in history? Do you think this is fair?” he said.
The star player also said that he and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, to whom he proposed marriage, will get married after the World Cup in 2026. “I hope there will be a cup too,” the Portuguese added.

Ronaldo said that he is now approaching retirement and has been planning it for years.
The star actor said, “My retirement is now close. I think I am ready. It will be difficult, I will probably cry, but I have been preparing my future since I was 25.” he said.

They cannot be champions this year. They are far behind in the points table. I do not think they are on the right track right now. They need change.” he said.
Stating that Arsenal has a high probability of becoming the champion in the Premier League, the 40-year-old football player said, “I was very close to being transferred to Arsenal in my career.
