A retired New York police officer faces 10 years in prison for his participation in the storming of the Capitol early last year. Thomas Webster, 56, has been charged with “an attack on democracy” and has been blamed for his working life as a law enforcement officer. It is the highest sentence imposed by a judge for the Capitol storming on January 6, 2021.
